Ask five web developers in Delhi for a price and you will get five numbers between ₹10,000 and ₹5,00,000. The spread is real, because "a website" covers very different things. Here is what each level actually buys.
The three levels
| Level | Typical price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Template site | ₹10,000 – ₹30,000 | A theme with your logo and text. Fine to exist online; rarely brings enquiries. |
| Designed business site | ₹45,000 – ₹2,50,000 | Pages written around your customers, fast on phones, set up for Google, enquiry buttons everywhere. |
| Site with a system behind it | ₹2,50,000 + | Catalogue, bookings, customer logins, payments or an admin panel your team uses daily. |
What separates a site that brings work from one that doesn't
- Speed on a phone. Most visitors in India arrive on a mid-range Android handset; a page that takes six seconds loses most of them.
- One clear next step on every page — call, WhatsApp or an enquiry — not just a contact page at the end.
- Titles, descriptions and pages that match what people actually search for, such as "CNC machining in Faridabad" rather than "Welcome to our company".
- Real photographs and real addresses. Stock photos and no address make a visitor wonder whether you exist.
Costs to ask about before you sign
- Hosting and domain renewal — in your name, not the developer's.
- Who can edit text and prices after launch, and what changes cost.
- Whether you receive the source files, or are renting a site you can never move.
- Ongoing security updates. An unpatched site is how most small-business sites get hacked.
